We work tirelessly to empower our neighbors with knowledge and inspire them with opportunity so they can take positive action with confidence—creating a new world of possibilities for themselves and their families, and ultimately, the block, the hood, and the city, too.

Be a Part of the Light returns for a triumphant seventh year to light up Martin Luther King Jr. Drive with holiday lights and decor in hopes of interrupting the everyday trauma experienced by residents of Chicago’s South Side and inspiring hope in its youth.
Follow Founder and CEO Jahmal Cole’s journey to visit 100 Blocks in 100 Days in hopes of better understanding the needs of block clubs on the South and West sides and community leaders across Chicago.
